Last weekend I was at a synth meetup in Wollongong at Elk Elektronik to present the new educational synthesizer system from tangible waves, the SynthExplorer. You can find out all about by watching the presentation below.

Dark Ambient Drone with Eurorack
Today I assembled the AE Modular Eurorack adapter frame together with the Behringer Neutron into a case that I built many years ago when I started my Journey with modular synths. I believe that AE can play along with Eurorack very well and that the Neutron can benefit from a few extra modulation options and the sweet FX that the AE can bring to the table.
AE Modular Jam – Phasing
I was experimenting with a few of my new modules, TRIP, PHASER, JOYSTICK and the MIXCONSOLE when this jam happened. I feel that it has a different sound from my previous jams, and that’s a good thing because I’m getting a bit over my old sound and want to do something new.
Getting Started – DRONE38 and DRONX
This is an overview of the two new drone modules for the AE Modular Synth from tangible waves. I’m presenting a short demonstration of the sound in the beginning and then will explain the functions of each module in detail. Towards the end there are some thoughts on how to approach making music with these modules.
AE Modular Synth Podcast #02
In this podcast episodes Zach, Felix and I are chatting about DIY in the AE Modular community and everyone’s favourite patching techniques.
First Jam with the DRONE38
As per popular demand on Instagram … here is my very first jam with the DRONE38 and DRONX modules from tangible waves.
I have just received these modules yesterday in a large batch of new modules from Robert and I already am in love with them! Super big sounds, great playability … it’s an instrument in itself!
AE Modular Podcast #01
This was the first episode of (hopefully) a new series of podcast videos (vodcast?) with Felix aka The Tuesday Nightmachines. In this episode we played a little game in which each of us took turns to try to explain a random AE module in only 10 seconds. At the end I performed a little jam with explanation of how I made it.
AE Modular Jam – Moabit
I was feeling homesick after so many years away and so I felt inspired to make this jam as an homage to Moabit, my favourite district of Berlin. I also tried to make it sound a bit like Berlin School.
Sequencers and Quantizers
An introduction to the use of the AE Modular SEQ16 sequencer in combination with the QUANTIZER.
Jamuary 2021 – #3 – A bit like Berlin School
Here I was playing with a new Grains firmware and ended up really enjoying the digital oscillators in my system, the SAWVOX and WAVETABLE, which, with some careful filter modulation, sound really nice and fat analogish (if that’s a word).
