Talking with Wonkystuff at Superbooth 2022

I’ve interviewed John Tuffen from Wonkystuff at Superbooth 2022 and we were talking about his path into AE Modular, his modules past, present and future and how he prepares for his amazing ambient performances.

Please visit the Wonkystuff website for more information about his modules and the AE Wiki artist page for links to John’s various artistic projects.

AE Modular TBD – An Introduction

This is an introduction to the new TBD module for the AE Modular from tangible waves. The TBD is a multi function module with over 50 plugins for effects and oscillators. All plugins are open source and you can program your own (if you know C++).

Jamuary 2022 Day 2

This is my second jam for Jamuary 2022. This time I’ve been playing a lot with modulation. Random modulation of the Nyle Filter via the RBSS, LFO modulation of the Core.ae from Wonkystuff and a rhythmic modulation of the waves from the Wavetables via the SEQ8 sequencer. The cool thing in modular synthesis is that you can use a CV/Gate sequencer for so many other things than just pitch.

Presenting Euclid Grid

I’m introducing Euclid Grid by Kyaa, a new module for the AE Modular system. I have been a beta tester for this module and I’m incredibly impressed by it and had a lot of fun playing with it. You find more information on how to purchase this module here: https://kyaa.co/product/euclid-grid

You can download the paper about Euclidean Rhythms here: http://cgm.cs.mcgill.ca/~godfried/pub…
