The more I play with the Synth Explorer from tangible waves, the more I learn and it’s just fun! This time I am sending the drums through the WASP filter for bubbly bleeps, a fast pitch modulated OSC for strange sounds and the musical part is done via the SEQ8 and the Quantizer set to fifth notes.
Synth Explorer – Just Jamming
Amazing what you can do with this little education system, the “Synth Explorer” from tangible waves. Here we have one oscillator going through a delay for a sound foundation layer, the notes are provided by a slow LFO that goes via S&H through the Quantizer (Pent Minor scale). Then a kick on the 4 and the bassline is just the sub oscillator going through the Wasp filter. Then noodling by changing cut off on the Wasp and decay on the envelope. A simple patch, but really fun to play with.
AE Modular Jam – Reflections
This is another Sunday jam. I started patching a stereo sequence and then kept adding to it, as you do. This was recorded live in one take, warts and all. All sounds from the AE system with exception of the drums which are from the Synthstrom Deluge which is also the master MIDI clock in this patch. Thumbnail as always by my son Robin.
